Compliment and Complaint Form
The Mission Police Department strives to provide professional, ethical, and courteous police services to our community. The complaint process is one of the most important functions we carry out because we can only be effective if we have the trust of our community. Please use these online complaint and compliment forms below to share your feedback.
Read more about the importance of this feedback and how the information will be used in the Department’s May 2022 Press Release.
Complaint Against an Employee
Every citizen has the right to make a complaint against an employee of the Police Department. The complaint may be made to any supervisor or the Internal Affairs Division. A complaint may be made in person, by telephone, by mail, or by completing this online form. Complaints may be submitted by a person(s) not directly involved in the incident. Complaints may also be made anonymously. The Department will release to the complaining party a copy of his or her own statement.
Compliments for Employees
We always strive to ensure that all of our officers and employees are serving the community and provide excellent service. We will make certain that the employee’s supervisors will receive this form and that it will be shared with the employee. You are not required to complete all the fields on this form, but all information shared will be evaluated for trends and in continuous efforts toward organizational improvement.
Allegation of Racial or Other Biased Based Policing
It is unlwaful in Kansas for law enforcement officers to use racial or other biased based policing in determining the basis for a stop arrest, or search. Citizens may file a complaint with the law enforcement agency involved, or may also file a complaint with the Office of the Attorney General using this online form.
