How to Engage
We know you care about your community and want to stay informed. We need your input to keep Mission moving forward on the right track. Here are a variety of ways for you to ask questions, make suggestions or just learn more about what’s being considered:
Monthly Council Meeting Process
City business is decided with the legislative process. On the first Wednesday of each month the Community Development Committee and the Finance + Administration Committee consider a variety of policy items. The Committees then refer items to the City Council for a formal vote at the legislative meeting on the third Wednesday of the month.
Here are ways for you to participate in the legislative process:
- Attend a Council, Committee or Commission meeting
- Watch live or recorded Council meetings
- Preview meeting agendas
- Provide public comment to the City Clerk
- Read meeting minutes
Attend a Ward Meeting
Occasionally Councilmembers hold Ward meetings. This is a chance to provide input, ask questions and hear the latest updates. Ward meetings are posted to the website calendar as they are scheduled throughout the year.
