The Mission City Council approved funding for a pilot program in 2023 to fund 15 home energy audits and associated repairs. The energy used to heat and cool our homes is one of the leading contributors to the community’s carbon emissions, contributing to climate change. Identifying leakages can reduce energy waste and utility bills for the homeowner.
At this meeting, the two contractors who completed the pilot program’s audits, Green CAT Services and Center Energy Audits, will join the homeowners who participated for an open session. We’ll hear from the contractors about what they found through their audits, and from the homeowners about what surprised them, and what they plan to do with the information and recommended improvements. This is a sharing session, open to anyone is curious about their own home or interested in learning about the sometimes very affordable fixes that can make a big difference in energy efficiency. All are welcome.
