CANCELED: Mission Summer Family Picnic

Despite the excitement that was building for Saturday’s Mission Summer Family Picnic, Mother Nature has other plans! With rain forecast overnight and throughout most of the day/evening tomorrow, we are officially going to take a raincheck and reschedule. We’re busy coordinating a new date for the picnic with our awesome partners Newmark Zimmer Kansas City, Vinyl Revival, Rotary Club of Shawnee Mission Kansas and Wald Fireworks so stay tuned for an announcement soon of a new date!

A new twist on Mission’s annual picnic! Enjoy a hot dog (veggie dogs available!) and chips for dinner while enjoying live music from Vinyl Revival and activities for the whole family. Consolidated Fire District #2 will keep everyone cool with a spray from the fire engine. Beer garden hosted by the Shawnee Mission Rotary Club. End the night with an awesome fireworks display sponsored by Newmark Zimmer. Bring your lawn chair or blanket to enjoy this FREE night of summer fun!
