Smart Recycling Workshop

Do you have questions about how to recycle? What goes in? What stays out? How can we make it all work?

We know it’s wasteful to use something once and send it to the landfill. We *also* know that for something we recycle to actually get turned into something else, we have to work to reduce contamination in the recycling stream. Join Mission Sustainability Commission member Terri Baugh for a free workshop to help you understand current information about how you can recycle correctly. Learn about the new recycling rules in place in our region.

This is a “show and tell” presentation. You’ll walk away with your questions answered, ready to feel more confident and help your friends and neighbors recycle correctly, too!

Wednesday, April 19, 7 p.m. at the Powell Community Center

There will be information about what goes in your curbside rollcart, as well as information about specialty recycling such as:

• electronics
• glass
• holiday lights
• batteries
• polystyrene foam
• plastic bags.

Everyone will receive a recycling guide for further reference to be used at home.
