The Mission Police Department is partnering with Hyundai and Kia in providing steering wheel locks for specific years and models.
Pick up a lock at the Mission Police Station located at 6090 Woodson St. Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm.
To receive a free lock while supplies last, you must:
• Be a resident or currently work in Mission, Kansas.
• Present valid identification for work or proof of residency.
• Present proof of ownership of applicable Hyundai/Kia vehicle*
*Acceptable proof of ownership includes the vehicle title or registration.
Hyundai/Kia vehicles that are at risk of being stolen are those which use steel keys to start the ignition. Key fob and push button systems are not applicable. Please see below for a complete list of qualifying vehicles:
