The City of Mission, KS – Government recently ranked in the Top 10% of all U.S. cities in terms of resident satisfaction with local governmental services. The City received ETC Institute’s prestigious “Leading the Way Award” as recognition for the accomplishment. Mayor Sollie Flora commented on the announcement noting, “I’m proud of this recognition for Mission. We take the job of delivering high quality services at a good value seriously. The high marks we’ve received from our residents show that we’re on the right track! It’s great to see Mission compare so favorably to other communities around the country.”
The award is given to cities who rank in the top 10% of all local governments with regard to their composite performance in the three core areas that are assessed on ETC Institute’s DirectionFinder Survey:
- Satisfaction with the overall quality of services
- Satisfaction with customer service provided by employees, and
- Satisfaction with the value residents think they receive for local taxes and fees
The City of Mission’s composite rating was 220 which was 56 points above the average composite score of 164 for all cities in the United States.
